Packy rocks! I just picked up a Spy ball because of this video. The alleys in this area go minimal on oil over the summer, and I'm aligned with the left gutter with even my weakest ball. Hoping to play straighter with this one.

My house just installed string pins and I'm looking forward to trying them. I'm old enough to remember when plastic balls first hit the market and the equipment has been changing ever since. I'll adapt. Perhaps, I won't see as many messengers, but, hopefully, I won't see as many pocket 7-10s.🤞

I did the jackpot classic at the Orleans this year and my dad got a 13 pound arctic vibe because they didn't have a 14 and in blind doubles I threw it and it was on the transition to the burn and I could stand 20 to 33 and get it to the 1 board and it was coming back hard. But it was a long lighter oil pattern and standing 32 sliding 32-33 out to the 5 board was the best look . And my dad's friend asked about how he likes it he said don't know but Travis sure does. To add torque and momentum to a throw with a 6 pound ball, first practice candlepin (2 pounds)and then duckpin (3-5 pounds) bowling. Try it single handed. You will adapt to more approach and difficult throws. Then go with the 6 pound ten pin bowling ball single handed. You'll strike after that practice. The only disadvantage is that there are no universal 60 feet bowling alleys around (big business idea, with the string pin setters).

Two observations: (1) the pins had a tendency to be reluctant to fall even after a good hit/getting hit; (2) it appeared that at the top of the backswing, her hand/ball seemed to swing clockwise a bit. It was hard to tell, being somewhat dim and my old eyes don't see that fast anymore. I've also seen a lot of one-handed do it similarly (Tommy Jones). Is that to increase ball spin at the release point? I was old school (60s-90s) and kept my swing/hand/arm pretty straight. Thsnks.
